At a recent service, we thought about what we would like people to know about faith or about God or our church. These are a few responses from different people - this is what our congregation would like you to know! "Try to have an open heart. You won't always believe or think the same things. Allow yourself to change as you go through life. Jesus came to help people to live full lives -this includes your ideas and beliefs. Give faith a chance. Believe you are loved even when you feel the most unloved. Try to love the world." "you are welcome as you are. Child, adult, old or young... single, in a relationship, cohabiting, married, straight, gay, bisexual - none of that is important... Here you will find openness, inclusion, justice, friendship, fellowship, questions taken seriously, wondering together, not being preached at or criticised, listening and thinking together... Here EVERYONE is welcome. Come just as you are Jesus loves you regardless!" Add Comment A reflection 06/08/2011
recently in church we saw and heard a 'Godly play' story called 'the Holy Family'. It's the story of the journey that Abraham and Sarah make during their lifetimes, what happens when they have a son and what God promises to them. On their life journey they find God in lots of places, many of them unexpected. This reflection on that story was written by Una Martin, church secretary. God is everywhere - all around us, In the cities, on the mountains, in the deserts, He is always with us, no matter where we are or what we are doing. He is with us in this church - at the toddlers group, the kids club, the lunch club. There for everyone, young and old alike. His love is all around us and like the grains of sand in the desert it goes on forever. Blogging! 06/08/2011
